Our Story
Orocom was founded in 1999 by Ron Dreher. Prior to 1999 Ron's resume included a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from NY Maritime College, a USCG merchant mariners license, and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He worked for seven years as a flight test instrumentation engineer (on the A6F and F-14D) at Northrop Grumman. Responsibilities were instrumentation operations, system design and eventually business development for Aydin Vector and SBS Technologies.
After five years in business development Ron identified a need for an independent sales organization serving the flight test and avionics market.
In 1999 Ron identified a need for an independent flight test data acquisition sales rep company. That was the beginning of Orocom, with a mission statement to be a trusted source, advisor and customer advocate. Orocom offers best in class flight test data acquisition, both airborne and ground, as well as avionics testing solutions.
